Family Literacy

Reading to your children is one of the best ways to help them develop language skills and a larger vocabulary, builds listening skills and increases a child’s attention span.

CCRC’s Family Literacy series uses the popular Motheread Inc. curriculum and offers parents the opportunity of reading with their children to create a wonderful bonding experience that fosters meaningful and lasting communication.

In this eight week series, you will learn simple strategies to teach your child new vocabulary words and how to interpret stories. We end the series with a celebration and each family receives a certificate of completion and a goody bag including all books from the series.
